September 11, 2007

Moscow, Russia -- JSC SITRONICS (“Sitronics” or “The Company”) (LSE:SITR), a leading provider of telecommunications, IT and microelectronic solutions in Russia and the CIS, with a growing presence in other EEMEA emerging markets, today announced that a part of its INTRACOM TELECOM subsidiary, INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST, is deploying the WiMAX network for ZAIN Bahrain, one of the leading telecommunication operators in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The US$ 10.2 million project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2007.
INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST deploys a turn-key ISP network using WiMAX access technology to provide mobile, fixed and nomadic voice and data services over the air. This state-of-the-art broadband solution will complement the traditional wireline infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain by providing access to wireless high-speed internet and voice services.

The project deploys cutting edge technologies provided by Cisco Systems for the ISP network and Redline Communications for WiMAX access. INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST will use ZAIN’s support systems to provide WiMAX services.

Mr. Alexandros Manos, Managing Director of INTRACOM TELECOM, commented: “INTRACOM TELECOM has been involved in the evolution of WiMAX since its very first steps. Over the last few years, we have been investing both in developing of technical expertise and our service delivery capability in the region to be able to play a leading role in the deployment of the WiMAX technology and its full integration with the current and Next Generation Networks.”

Dr. Ahmed Al Shatti, COO of ZAIN Bahrain, added: “The launch of ZAIN’s new wireless high-speed broadband internet is the next logical step in our service offering to the Kingdom, as Bahrain has always been the regional pioneer in the telecommunication services arena. We have chosen INTRACOM MIDDLE EAST, the preferred technology partner for the deployment of the WiMAX network, based on the company’s proven track record in implementing large-scale projects in the region.”
