Monica Paolini is the founder and president of Senza Fili
Consulting. She is a well-known expert in fixed and mobile
wireless broadband access (BWA) technologies, such as WiMAX, WCDMA,
HSDPA, EV-DO, Wi-Fi and other proprietary technologies. She often
speaks at conferences worldwide and has written several reports
and articles on BWA and on convergence among different broadband
technologies. She has helped vendors, service providers and other
telecom and high-tech companies worldwide to assess technology,
market and financial opportunities. Assignments completed include
strategy formulation, financial modeling, market forecasts and
research, white paper preparation, business plan support, due
diligence, training, and evaluation of end-user interface
requirements. Prior to Senza Fili Consulting, she worked at
Analysys Consulting, where she advised a wide range of
telecommunication clients. She has a PhD in Cognitive Science from
the University of California, San Diego, an MBA from the
University of Oxford, and a BA/MA in Philosophy from the
