Sales executive will drive aggressive build out of direct sales organization

Dallas TX – airBand Communications Inc., the largest fixed wireless company for business customers in the United States, today announced that Joseph Sikora has joined airBand as executive vice president of sales. He will be responsible for developing and managing airBand’s growing direct sales organization as the company executes on an aggressive expansion strategy.

Sikora has nearly two decades of experience in senior sales management roles with telecom companies including MCI, Broadwing and TelCove – a Pittsburgh-based telecommunications provider focused on the Eastern United States, where he most recently managed sales and operations for central Florida. Prior to TelCove, Sikora was vice president of sales for Broadwing Communications, a broadband communications provider based in Austin, Texas. While at Broadwing, he was responsible for architecting the company’s 170-person national account sales team that dramatically increased sales with larger, multi-location enterprises.

“airBand’s fixed wireless network and steadfast commitment to quality will make the company faster and more flexible than any other provider in meeting the broadband needs of enterprise customers across a growing number of markets,” Sikora said. “It’s an exciting time at airBand, and I look forward to playing a key role in the company’s growth strategy.”

“We are taking airBand to the next level and we will be successful because of leaders like Joe who have a proven track record in proactively managing for explosive growth,” said Mark Spagnolo, president and CEO of airBand. “Joe’s experience will translate into immediate value for airBand with a sales engine that gains traction quickly in new markets within the enterprise market segment.”
