”The Book” enables ISPs to offer their subscribers an attractively
priced wireless access solution. QMS will market WiMAX modems and base
stations to ISPs and equipment manufacturers, both in Sweden and
internationally.
QMS regards this product launch as an important part of the shift to
high-speed wireless broadband access solutions from existing fixed
broadband and DSL networks, as well as from older wireless access
technologies.
- It is very exciting to be at the forefront of this technology change.
Households will soon be offered high-speed mobile wireless broadband
access, says Patrick Lund, president of QMS.
“The Book” was developed and designed by the Swedish technology company
HULU exclusively for QMS. The solution is based on Wavesat’s chipset,
certified by the WiMAX Forum.
“The Book” offers good functionality and attractive design at a
competitive price. Delivery of the first 20,000 units will take place in
the fourth quarter 2006.
- We believe that leading ISPs will offer their subscribers wireless
Internet access at a fixed monthly rate, says Patrick Lund.
