Vienna, -- WiMAX Telecom Group, the world's only multinational operator of WiMax services, is centralizing its "Operations" unit and has appointed Bela Virag (31) as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the entire company.

WiMAX Telecom Group, Europe's largest WiMax network operator, has decided to centralize its "Operations" unit. The aim is to enable customers in all countries in which WiMAX Telecom operates to benefit from the same high service quality. This goal is to be achieved by the implementation of uniform processes, the use of state-of-the-art technologies and homogeneous IP-based network architecture. Bela Birag (31) was appointed COO with immediate effect to ensure the realization of this strategy, unique for the telecom sector, and to head up the "Operations" unit.

Bela Virag has a good ten years of management experience under his belt. Before coming on board at WiMAX Telecom, he held a number of leading strategic and operational positions in management. In his last position he was senior consultant with Arthur D. Little, where he led the VoIP Competence Center and was a member of the core team of the global Broadband Wireless Access Competence Center. In addition to numerous other projects, he was the manager responsible for DSL implementation and rollout for a CEE incumbent. Previous to that he was Executive Director of the firm Kiwwi and was active in the Customer Loyalty unit and M&A at Telekom Austria. Bela Virag holds an MBA from OUBS, London, and a graduate degree from the School for Global Business, NM, USA.
