Roaming Services
Roamware Inc and Digicel Group

Caribbean's fastest-growing
GSM operator provides seamless services for travelling wireless
customers
Global roaming solutions leader Roamware Inc and Digicel Group, the
fastest growing mobile telecommunications operator in the Caribbean,
has implemented Roamware's innovative roaming solutions to enhance its
ever expanding seamless pan-Caribbean GSM network and reinforce its
position in the region as a leader in delivering excellent customer
service.
The partnership will offer an enhanced mobile experience and a greater
level of connectivity to Digicel customers travelling abroad and
visitors to Digicel's pan-Caribbean network. Digicel's subscribers are
already welcoming the benefit of being able to seamlessly access
voicemail services from abroad, while visitors to any of Digicel's
markets of operation can now effortlessly access their own home
services. Digicel has operations in close to 20 Caribbean markets.
According to Ralf Ohlhausen, Products Director at Digicel Group:
"Independent research has ranked Digicel as being number one in
customer care because of our strong customer-centric focus and
commitment to delivering excellent service. We have chosen a suite of
solutions from Roamware that will support our continued growth by
offering the best and most flexible seamless service enhancements. The
technology will also reduce roaming costs for our customers when
travelling abroad or visitors coming to the region."
When travelling abroad Digicel's customers can now be assured that
they will not be charged for incoming calls when they are not
available, as these will be delivered directly into their voice
mailbox free of charge. Roamware's Voicemail Call Completion and CLI
Guarantee also ensure that callers can seamlessly leave voicemails
without the need to re-enter phone numbers.
International visitors to the Digicel network can now enjoy a reliable
Virtual Home Environment experience with Roamware Short Codes, which
enable inbound roaming subscribers to continue to use the abbreviated
codes assigned by their carrier to access their local services such as
voicemail. Smart Call Assistant allows roamers to use the numbers in
their phonebook as they would at home by automatically adding the
international access codes if missing.
Bobby Srinivasan, Roamware CEO, said: "The Caribbean
telecommunications industry is experiencing impressive, dynamic
advancement and playing a lead role in driving the vibrant tourism,
financial services and local industries. We are delighted to be
partnering with Digicel to fully explore and support the market
opportunities with our market-leading services."
