Special Program to Focus on Real World Results of Point-to-MultiPoint WiMAX and pre-WiMAX Equipment Testing for Network Operators

Northboro, MA -- Trendsmedia and CW Lab announced today that they are joining forces at WiMAX World Europe, May 22-24, 2006 in Vienna, Austria, to produce a special pre-conference WiMAX Performance Plugfest. The plugfest results will be presented in a half day program at WiMAX World Europe. The program is geared to network operator attendees who are currently evaluating the best WiMAX and pre-WiMAX equipment. Leading vendors sponsoring the plugfest will have their equipment or services tested and results featured at the largest WiMAX event in Europe.

The website for WiMAX World Europe Conference & Expo is www.wimaxworldeurope.com. For plugfest sponsorship information please contact John Sellazzo, VP Sales & Business Development at js@trendsmedia.com.

“Trendsmedia is pleased to be working with CW Lab, a leading wireless broadband testing lab, to produce the WiMAX World Europe Performance Plugfest. The testing performed by CW Labs at the conference, and subsequent reporting of results by Trendsmedia, will enable network operators who are now evaluating which WiMAX products and equipment to purchase, better understand how those products work under a real world operating environment,” said Eliot Weinman, President of Trendsmedia and WiMAX World conference chair.

The WiMAX Performance Plugfest was created because there are a staggering number of products being produced by wireless broadband equipment manufacturers. The plugfest and subsequent reporting is designed to help network operators answer fundamental questions related to which products are best suited to their networks and how well do they operate in the real world. WiMAX World delegates will attend this seminar to cut through marketing hype and measure their investment by reviewing implementation and field testing results. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of today’s 802.16-2004 WiMAX access solutions capabilities, and will be able to evaluate and select the best product(s) for their needs, and then meet one-on-one with those companies at the conference and expo. An executive summary of the results will be made available to all conference attendees of WiMAX World Europe.

Charles Wu, Operating Manager at CW Lab added "We are pleased to partner with Trendsmedia for the WiMAX World Europe Performance Plugfest and the world-wide distribution of our WiMAX performance testing and analysis reports. Trendsmedia's global reach ensures that operators everywhere be able to access real-world performance comparison data on the various WiMAX vendor solutions available on the market today."
