Sursee, -- Casaplan Holding AG has acquired Inventis AG, making Casaplan
one of Switzerland's most important service providers for the
development, expansion, operation and maintenance of mobile
communications networks. With the integration, Casaplan becomes a
full-service provider in both mobile and fixed-line networks and now
offers single sourcing of comprehensive solutions throughout
Switzerland.
Casaplan Holding AG, comprising affiliates Ingenys AG, Telecom Treuhand
AG, Arxom SA, TPN AG and the newly integrated Inventis AG is now the
Swiss market leader and top general contractor in the fields of network
planning, site acquisition, engineering, construction, maintenance and
measurement for mobile and fixed communications. This enhanced status
was made possible by the acquisition of Inventis AG with effect from
June 15, 2006. Integration of Inventis AG's technical expertise
strengthens the Casaplan Group's know-how, especially in the areas of
network optimization, mobile network planning and NIR measurement.
Casaplan can now offer a range of services unique in Switzerland.
Moreover, the Group's geographical expansion and broader support base
mean that Casaplan Holding AG will in future be able to respond to
customer needs and market demands with even greater rapidity and
flexibility. The Group now employs over 300 people in Switzerland,
Germany and France. Projected annual sales in Europe for 2006 are CHF 85
million (Switzerland: CHF 70 million).
Inventis AG has been active in the telecommunications sector since 1998
and possesses considerable technical expertise in the field. The
company's services range from mobile network planning and measurement to
the establishment of wireless telecommunications networks, including an
in-house development and innovation department. With about 70
highly-qualified employees at its three sites in Echandens (Lausanne),
Gümligen (Berne) and Zurich, Inventis generates average annual revenues
of CHF 15 million. Until recently Swisscom Mobile AG held a 30% minority
interest in Inventis AG which it has now sold to Casaplan Holding AG.
"This integration brings us a big step closer to our customers, since we
can now offer everything under one roof," says Daniele Obino, CEO of
Casaplan Holding AG. "With our capable employees and trainees, we intend
to assert our newly won front-runner role in this sector and create
further exciting, forward-looking jobs."
The integration of Inventis AG — which remains largely autonomous — into
Casaplan Holding AG involves a change in senior management at Inventis.
Anton Waldner, until now its chief executive officer, is retiring and
will be succeeded by his former deputy Jürg Baumann. This ensures the
continuity of customer relations.
