New Spectrum Bands Enable GigaBeam’s WiFiber Revolution
The new FCC approved 71-76 GHz, 81-86 GHz, and 92-95 GHz frequency
bands (13,000MHz) are the only bands that will enable carrier-grade
multi-gigabit-per-second communications for the entire last mile. The
physics associated with high-speed wireless communications require a
large amount of spectrum with the lowest potential for atmospheric
resistance (particularly in terrestrial environments) –
characteristics uniquely provided by the spectrum bands pioneered for
commercial use by GigaBeam founders.
GigaBeam Maximizes Wireless
Spectrum Potential
GigaBeam technology maximizes the potential of the FCC authorized
optimum frequency bands that enable multi-gigabit-per-second
communications. Other frequency bands that support gigabit-per-second
speeds cannot provide fiber-like reliability for the “entire
last-mile”. As the graph indicates, the 60GHz frequency band is
impeded by high oxygen absorption and FSO (light wave) frequencies are
severely affected by fog.
GigaBeam Frequency Bands
Enable Reliable Fiber-Like Speeds
GigaBeam technology uses the new FCC approved 71-76 GHz, 81-86 GHz,
and 92-95 GHz frequency bands to provide reliable point-to-point
two-way communications at up to 2.7 Gbps with 99.999% weather
availability for about a mile or more throughout most of the US.
Future systems will enable last-mile communications at 10 gigabits per
second or OC-192.
Unique GigaBeam Technology
Maximizes Performance
GigaBeam has assembled the best leading edge technology and has
developed unique system architectures that will deliver up to 100
times more “link margin” or 20dB more power than anticipated
competitive offerings. GigaBeam’s improved “link margin” means
significantly higher link performance, greater link availability,
superior link range, and a smaller installation footprint than
alternative offerings can deliver. |
