Horizon Duo – Wireless Without Limits

Horizon Duo takes wireless to new heights, delivering industry-leading capacity of an astounding 1.6 Gbps per link that rivals the capacity of fiber-based solutions. The ability to share the modem technology of Horizon Compact, paired with the Horizon Duo’s dual modem capabilities, enables the doubling of capacity per system. It’s wireless without limits. This increased capacity, using the same amount of hardware, results in significantly lower costs per bit as compared to other solutions. Horizon Duo can be operated in either single or dual channel modes and includes the Flex bandwidth feature found in all DragonWave solutions. This innovative platform leads the industry in flexibility, capacity and cost efficiency.  Horizon Duo supports integrated link aggregation, XPIC, 1+1 switching, adaptive modulation and an integrated regenerator configuration. Using an optional plug-in with Horizon Duo, a carrier could carry 16 E1/T1, two DS3/E3 or OC3/STM1 services back to the core fiber network over a single Gigabit Ethernet connection.

DragonWave has introduced a new frequency variant to address applications that require an extremely long distance connection. Horizon Compact is available in 1+0, 1+1 or 2+0 configurations. Horizon Compact offers improved economics and simplified operations. Featuring a zero-footprint platform, the radio and the modem are integrated into one single compact outdoor-unit. Increased capacity (400 Mbps) simplified installation and operation, and improved troubleshooting mean lower lifecycle costs. Horizon Compact is a highly integrated, carrier grade solution for Ethernet backhaul using licensed or unlicensed spectrum from 6 to 38 GHz.
