Personal to commence
network expansion following rollout of first Hipuu! WiMAX service phase

Redline Communications Inc, a standards-based WiMAX and broadband
wireless infrastructure products provider, has revealed that Paraguayan
mobile and WiMAX carrier Personal, a subsidiary of Telecom Argentina, is
to commence network expansion following the successful initial phase of
its Hipuu! WiMAX service network rollout. |

Redline claimed its WiMAX
Forum Certified products were chosen for the Hipuu! network expansion
and said Personal will install further RedMAX products in order to
expand the network to reach 10,000 subscribers this year. The expansion
of the network in Asuncion and Great Asuncion will reportedly result in
one of the largest and highest-density WiMAX Forum Certified networks in
the world, to date.
Personal deployed a highest-capacity WiMAX Forum Certified base station
in the first phase of the Hipuu! WiMAX network implementation,
supporting over 250 users per sector controller. Redline claimed the
high-density network was enabled by the ease of installation of the
RedMAX products, alongside network manageability and provisioning
supported by the Redline Management Suite.
According to Redline, the second phase of Personal's WiMAX network is
being deployed by a team which includes Personal, Brightstar, a Redline
Value Added Distributor and wireless distribution and supply chain
solutions provider, Softnet Logicalis, Redline's Silver Certified
Partner, to integrate the RedMAX products into the current Cisco
network. |
