Aeroflex Announces a Major Breakthrough in Radio Test, Alignment Speed and Accuracy

New automated test and alignment software introduced for Motorola radios using the 3900 Series Digital Radio Test Set

Kansas City, MO -- Aeroflex today announced the release of new Auto-Test II Motorola Test and Alignment support for the Motorola XTS-5000 radios. This new capability allows users of the 3900 Series to automatically test and align radios with minimum user intervention. This new software is available for all 3900 Series products currently in the field, including the 3901, 3902 and the new 3920 Series.

The 3900 with Auto-Test II is a major breakthrough in radio test technology. Now users of the 3900 Series from Aeroflex can eliminate their computer as an integral part of the alignment and test of Motorola radios, said Rob Barden, Director of Product Marketing for Aeroflex. Motorola XTS-5000 radio operators can confidently test and align their radios by simply pushing a button.

The 3900 connects directly to the radio via a USB or RS-232 connection and controls the radio directly without the need for a separate computer. It is entirely a closed loop system. Since it does not rely on an external computer, this new application is significantly faster than current automated test and alignment software. In addition, the 3900s inherent accuracies mean that the radios are aligned to a much higher standard than previously was available.

Aeroflex is a licensee of the control command technology from Motorola. Aeroflex currently provides a wide range of features for a number of Motorola radio technologies, including Project 25 and HPD.

Price and availability
This new Auto-Test II application will be available for US$4,000.00 under option number 390XOPT600 and will be available in October 2008. For more information, contact your local Aeroflex sales office by visiting www.aeroflex.com or calling Aeroflex Sales at (800) 835-2352.
