BumbleBee Wi-MAX Spectrum Analyzer
BumbleBee-EX™ is a rugged, calibrated spectrum analyzer all-in-one system. The handheld receiver measures the popular wireless Wi-MAX frequencies between 2.0-4.0 GHz and 4.9-5.9 GHz. BumbleBee-EX allows users to scan, display and record multiple RF waveforms for network installation, coverage and interference analysis. The color, touch-screen allows field engineers to tap on points of interest in any waveform and "zoom" in for further analysis. Advanced spectrum analysis features include 3 waveform, peak hold, peak search and user selectable power triggers. BumbleBee-EX allows for realtime spectral analysis of many wireless standards including RFID, VoIP, 802.11b/a/g & Bluetooth as well as unidentified RF interference such as microwaves and cordless phones. BumbleBee-EX takes the power of sophisticated laboratory spectrum analyzers and puts it in user's hands.

Sieve RF Data Filtering PC Software
Sieve™ is a Windows XP application that generates 40 Lambda averaged data that was collected from Berkeley's Gator stimulus Class A transmitter and Coyote modular receiver combination. The transmitter/receiver/software package is being distributed to WiMAX engineers, technicians and installers interested in optimizing their 2.5 and 3.4 GHz networks. Sieve™ is able to generate 40 Lambda averaged data into ASCII files through high-speed, two-stage filtering of redundant data. This data is received on one or two different Coyote™ receiver modules that may be swapped out while still in the field. In addition, the software also allows creation of KML files to map measured data onto programs such as GoogleEarth™. When combined with powerful BVS transmitter and receiver combos, Sieve™ filtering software provides the best averaging options and reliability analysis in its class.

Handheld WiFi Equipment

Yellowjacket 802.11b/a/g/h Wi-Fi Analyzer
Yellowjacket
® B/A/G is a wireless test receiver system that demodulates, sweeps, analyzes, and optimizes all popular 802.11 Wi-Fi network standards including 802.11b/g (2.4 GHz), 802.11a (5 GHz) and 802.11h (5.7 GHz). The calibrated receiver is a passive measurement device that is network independent so it remains "invisible" to any Wi-Fi network. Yellowjacket® B/A/G is also a powerful spectrum analyzer that measures RF energy allowing not only detailed interference analysis but the ability to see the "whole picture" of your 2.4 and 5 GHz network WISP or hotpsot. When equipped with a BVS DF (Direction Finding) antenna, Yellowjacket® B/A/G locates and pinpoints rogue APs and STAs and even detects spurious interference from sources such as microwave ovens and cordless phones. Powerful packet analysis features such as SNR (Signal-to-Noise), Multipath (Ec/Io), Delay Spread, Channel Frequency Response (CFR), SSID and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) give Yellowjacket® B/A/G the distinction of being the only true handheld RF spectrum protocol analysis and direction finding tool accurate to within 1 dB. Yellowjacket® B/A/G functions as a complete WLAN analysis system offering both measurements made through packet demodulation and spectrum analysis in a rugged, handheld package.

Yellowjacket 802.11b/g Wi-Fi Analyzer
Yellowjacket® is a calibrated wireless receiver module that interfaces with HP’s iPAQ® PocketPC® in sweeping, analyzing and optimizing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Networks. The receiver measures all 14 OFDM/DSSS network channels which operate on the IEEE 802.11b/g standard allowing the user to determine the AP’s MAC, SSID and RSSI signal levels for all access points on or off any 802.11b/g WISP or Hotspot. The Yellowjacket® system uses a custom receiver, custom software and interfaces with an iPAQ giving Yellowjacket® the distinction of being the only true RF spectrum protocol analysis and direction finding tool accurate to within 1 dB. Berkeley’s calibrated receiver sweeps and measures all RF energy in the 2.4 GHz range as well as on each of the 14 OFDM/DSSS channels for detailed network inspection of any nearby 802.11b/g APs or STAs. Yellowjacket® is a passive, network independent device with the ability to see the “whole picture” as well as pinpointing channel interference and hackers that plague so many 802.11b/g WISPs and Hotspots. Yellowjacket® can contain an optional 12-channel GPS receiver for realtime GPS data so that every 802.11b/g measurement is time/date/location stamped for post analysis using spreadsheets or Berkeley's own Dolphin™ mapping coverage analysis software.
